Addressing supporters on a chilly airport tarmac in Belgrade, he said the choice on Tuesday was between building on progress achieved under his administration or letting "radical" Democrats take a "giant wrecking ball" to the economy.
"America now has the best economy in the history of our country," Trump said, repeating an inaccuracy about the US economic performance since he took office.
"I said it was going to happen. I just didn't know it was going to happen this fast," he added.
Trump opened Saturday's rally by highlighting Friday's government report that employers added 250,000 jobs last month.
Unemployment held steady at 3.7 percent, its lowest rate in nearly 50 years, and pay rose at a healthy pace.
In addition to Montana, Trump has another rally later Saturday in Florida.
