Happy Medical Monday (which isn’t every Monday, and sometimes isn’t on Monday, but I try my best) 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️🚑
PS Why do people in these videos have 2 letter initials for names? It’s a didactic tradition in presenting case reports. It lightly de-identifies the patient while upholding their humanity. They are, and will always be, more than just “the patient.” Thanks for watching :)

Meanwhile Cody on Cody’s Lab is literally gargling that stuff

I find it funny that he has that nice music playing in the background while he explains somebodys tragedy.

Since the bulk of the 367 replies to you are "hi" I'll ask this here: what about the actions of ethyl mercury on the human body?
Oh, & what kind was used in dental fillings in the U.S.A. & Canada 40 years ago? I swallowed some during the replacement procedure & hoo-boy, have I been sick since. Any treatment or cure?

All the people in the comments think he is talking about pure mercury. IDIOTS
My stuff
“Played” with mercury on my hand rolling it around on my hand. Back then they used mercury in blood pressure monitors and other pressure monitors. Wiped it on my pants and licked my hand and spit. I was a little kid and who knows why i did this. 64 years old now but lost the gifted memory i had at the time. Mercury should be treated like radiation.

These cases are patients who I, or my colleagues have seen. They are de-identified and many instances have been presented in more depth in an academic setting. These videos are not individual medical advice and are for general educational purposes only. I do not give medical advice over the internet, see your own physician in person for that.
