I was going to do a project on the power of words. Words have power, we attach feelings to words.

Confidence being a skill is so valuable to know. Thank you Mel for making this great point and helping to debunk myths that simply aren't true nor helpful. Blessings!

I love the positive messages but I HATE hearing the examples of how NOT to think explained out in detail. I'm paying attention to my thinking and in doing so I make an effort to block, ignore & move those negative thoughts on. And when I hear those stories it takes me right down that negative road when I didn't have those thoughts to start with!! I understand it's to convey the point but I'm sorry I don't like hearing it.

The message is great! It's better if you read it in closed caption then you don't have to deal with the manipulative music playing in the background. Why do the people who compile these videos, think the message can't stand on its own? The music is a distraction. It is not necessary! It does not add any value to the message. It detracts.

Repeating drama music does not add to the inspirational message, the message ALONE will do.

#AskMel My kids parent harshly with my grandkids and they use not spending time with me as punishment. I have talked and given books but they are not hearing. What to do? This keeps me up at night, and breaks my heart.
