4 amps is 4 amps, it won't charge any quicker then any other charger at 4 amps. It may take over night to fully charge a flat battery, but under an hour to give enough charge to start engine and alternator will do the rest at 100 amps. Cars batteries are about 100 amp/hr so 4 amps into 100Ahr is 25hrs for full charge from fully dead battery.

according to instructions the motorbike symbol is for standard speed charging and the car symbol is for fast charging. not very intuitive.

Leaving a terminal connector "hand tight" will very quick burn out the battery cables as any resistance at the terminal connections will equal power loss at the rate of the square of the current flowing times the resistance. It will quickly heat then burn plus I'm unconvinced this was able to charge a battery from zero to full inside a few mins without damaging it or drastically reducing battery life.

In the instruction, it says to unplug the mains before disconnecting the battery. Car batteries discharge because the battery has a storage leakage, plus the clocks in the engine management, the dashboard clock, and the anti-theft alarm run small but constant power. The broadcast radio may go into anti-theft mode because of the power loss, check for the PIN number and enter it into the in-car radio. I have this charger too and it is great with camper and tent leisure batteries. My batteries are 110 AHr.

Now what you do Brandon is to check the battery level on your car that you have been driving and you should find it has a level of around 50% because most modern batteries operate at a 50% charge

Nice. This reminds me one thing. I need to remove a battery connector on my car before I travel to the Philippines this summer. I just created a reminder with Google Calendar so I will not forget it.

Solar powered battery maintainers are the way to go if your vehicle is going to be sitting a long time. Better to keep the battery from going dead in the first place if possible.

If you keep ending up with a dead battery it could be caused by the alternator not charging, battery is more than two years old and you listen to your stereo at high volume especially when the car is off. I don't carry cables anymore to jump a car. I use those battery packs to jump the car and it's good for at least 10 jump starts and I believe they won't harm the alternator.
