Two Boeing airplanes have fallen out of the air and crashed in the past six months. On the surface, this is a technical failure. But the real story is about a company's desire to beat their rival.

Incredible. That many people died just so that a company wouldn't fall behind another.

"Nearly every 737 Neo has been grounded?" . nearly??
Indra Niptama
so it's true when the CEO of LION AIR said they are only dollars in front of Boeing Company. how Boeing company take responsibility for hundreds of people who died inside their planes?

This could've been avoided if:
1. They told the pilots about the MCAS for them to train more on how to control the plane and not fighting the MCAS functions.
2. If they didn't say that the new plane behaves like the previous one even if it doesn't because of the f*cking MCAS. They are more worried on how the buyers will compare both planes and ofcourse, people will tend to pick the one that is better but feels like the previous version like the A320NEO.

3. If they didn't rush things out and have a detailed plan and gave more time to learn all about the errors that the new plane is producing.

Boeing, please take your supporters a free ride on your test flights.

Boeing needs to pay for their corporate greed. the decision makers who pushed this model to production needs to be punished severely along with FAA personnel who certified it. Alas it's too late for the 370 souls who left earth . We the people of the world are so ignorant of how corporates use us as guinea pigs and thinks of the common man as cattle for them to herd and misuse to earn more money and power. How much is enough....it never is enough...basic nature of humans.

Not the first time boeing cut corners, read about engineers getting the sack over safety fears on the Dreamliner,

This video is so clearly funded by Airbus.

Vox is clearly unimformed and ignorant of actual facts of the cause of the 2 flights to crash. As a pilot, the engines being mounted higher have nothing to do with this incident it is purely computer malfuntion.

Sad. Is it safe to say the CEO's at Boeing are responsible for loss of life? Or would that be too harsh?

Regulation is Important!!! stop electing people pushing deregulation.

This is so sad, over 100 people died just because another person wanted to be the best. I feel so bad for all of the families of the people on board the plane when it crashed. Just because of this rush to have the best plane some young people couldn’t live their life to the fullest. Rest In Peace everyone who was on board the Boeing 737 MAX 8.

People say your more likely to crash in a car than a plane but I say which one are you more likely to survive??

This video lacks in something pretty basic in every accident investigation: Aviation accidents doesn’t happens because one single cause. MCAS alone didn’t caused the accident. It surely may have contributed, but there are many other factors, so that’s why media should wait for the FINAL report, that will be ready probably after a year of investigation. This video is only speculation about what was disclosed in the partial reports and airworthiness directives. I’m really sorry for all people that loss their lives and their relatives, but this video won’t help to know what really happened. Vox isn’t NTSB

The modern way of burying a body, the "casket in the ground method" most of us are used to is horrible for the environment. It uses an incredible amount of resources, emits toxic pollutants into the air, and pumps the ground full of formaldehyde, which is known to cause cancer. It's also prohibitively expensive. The average cost of a modern funeral costs between $10,000 to $12,000.

There are a number of greener options available though. Cremation uses less resources and requires less space than a traditional burial, but isn't perfect. There are more experimental methods on the horizon such as promession and alkaline hydrolysis.

No matter which method we choose, it's clear that we need to reform how we bury the dead.

Also be sure to read Mark Harris's excellent book about green burials http://www.gravematters.us
