Triple Five is the new developer of the long delayed entertainment retail complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Allen Marcus, president of the Marcus Group which is the PR firm representing Triple Five said that the new project will cost over $3 billion and will be completed by fall 2016. Marcus went on to speak about the features that will be in the finished product.
“There will be an indoor water park, an indoor amusement park, an indoor ski slope, indoor ice skating rink, there will be restaurants, retail for every imaginable taste. It's going to be one of the wonders of the world,” he said.
The project will employ 10,000 construction workers and 15,000-20,000 full-time employees once it is open for business.
“This is an economic catalyst for all of Northern New Jersey and frankly the Tri-State area,” Marcus concluded.
Although Triple Five has yet to finalize up to $800 million in funding from public sources for the American Dream, the bonds have been approved by the State Economic Development Authority. The borough of East Rutherford is in the process of signing and approving all necessary paperwork and as of now the plan is for the American Dream to open by fall 2016!
