The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is an American media franchise and shared universe that is centered on a series of superhero films, independently produced by Marvel Studios and based on characters that appear in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The franchise has expanded to include comic books, short films, television series, and digital series. The shared universe, much like the original Marvel Universe in comic books, was established by crossing over common plot elements, settings, cast, and characters. Phil Coulson, portrayed by Clark Gregg, is an original character to the MCU and the only character to appear across all its different media.

Who is your favorite MCU villain?
Also.....GREY WINS!!!
For me, the "decent villains" train started with the Defenders shows (as an aside, I never loved Loki even half as much as the general audience).

Kingpin, Purple Man, and Cottonmouth were so damn good that it was unbelievable that they were from Marvel.
Юрий Жуга
how about zemo, his story and motivation gives me goosebumps every time
Ask your self this. Is your villain’s plan to take over the world?
Scrap the character it’s shit.
Disney Boy
Well Disney has still made or at least to you tried villains interesting though.
yosip peña
I think you spelled bad wrong
Kindred 315
Sex appeal is the answer there's Michael b jordan, kurt russel, and josh brollin which are actors fan girls gone wild for
Adam Castanos
Why the FUCK is no one mentioning Vincent donofrio as KINGPIN?!!!
Chris Hemphill
Good use of that sultry electric keyboard groove!
Диана Архарова
The question is "When Did Marvel Films Get Good?"
And the answer is "They didn't, they're borring and silly attraction for small children."
And their popularity scares...
Cam M
thanos, vulture and killmonger were alright loki is cool to but the others hard pass for me.
Samuel McCallister
Most of Phases 1 and 3 had good-to-great villains. It's Phase 2 and early Phase 3 where the crappy villains are.

I know the movies around both of them sucked, but I'd put General Ross and Justin Hammer up there as good villains, with potential to become great villains if used properly.
Lowkey Edgy
Let's be honest, no movie villain will top Heath Ledger's Joker. So of course even Samuel L. Jackson would admit DC has a better Villan(singular).
Brandon Rankin
You need more sound dampening in your set. There's some major echo
Bloke Masterson
The villians in the Marvel Netflix shows are gold!
Perfect Cell in Dbza was the best marvel villain
Agon Leed
People like Loki cause...he's a bitch. And people are bitches.
Mant strong willed, mentally capable people with strong self esteem and confidence cant relate to MOVIE Loki.
Agon Leed
Spawn was great.
Fuck everyone
Marcos Simian
6:15 -- "So... What happened?"
^^^Answer: The Marvel Netflix series happened, which gained a substantial uprising in 2016 in-particular; featuring immensely complex (dare-say-it "impressive") villains that even outshined the heroes of nearly every release. Clearly the Marvel Movies picked up the pattern from the Marvel shows on Netflix! The Netflix version of "Kill-Grave", for instance, I would even go so far as to say outweighs his own comic-book counterpart... It's not particularly difficult to see how the rise of the Marvel Netflix series would subsequently end up blending their way into the MCU as a whole.
Lists that Eric Killmonger don’t belong on: this. Look, the man’s only one step in engaging above Iron Monger, and that’s only because he has an actual backstory. Beyond that, he’s basically just an obsessively racist Red Skull, and at least Schmidt had the leadership chops to run his own superintelligence militia, as opposed to just throwing out wanton violence because the supposedly most intelligent nation on Planet Earth has *_the_* single most bass-ackwards standards of succession. I mean, if he actually showed favor in the well-being of Wakanda and its people, you’d have a case; it’d show that he has some semblence of humanity worth talking about, but T’Challa more or less spells out to him he’s just a one-note bigot trying to own the sufferring of people who lived over a hundred years ago, for whom even the Wakandan people are expendable.

Comic books haven’t been exclusively for kids for generations now, but as they’ve crossed over into the mainstream and become major motion picture franchises, now more than ever, superheroes are for everyone. While there have been plenty of family friendly moments in the MCU, there have been a few times when superheroes have been on the dark side.

The more evil the villains, the more evil their acts, the more shocking the consequences and the more imperative the hero saves the day. There are, after all, a lot of orphans filling up the superhero ranks whose parents have been killed. Sometimes, that raise in stakes might be a bit much for some kids, but they make the stories that much larger. Here are some moments in the MCU that might not be for kids.
