I might be missing the point, but it sounds like you're advising one to condition one's self to not think of those thoughts and constantly force a different emotion. Wouldn't the negative emotions keep coming up BECAUSE they're still an issue? Wouldn't that be a sign that there's something within you that needs to be addressed? Are you saying to just bottle that up and pretend you're happy until you somehow convince yourself you are? I liked what you said at the end of the video about taking action and I completely agree that one needs to take action in their lives in order to get better. But are you saying the action you need to take is to lie to yourself all the time about who you are versus who you want to be? Is who you want to be an extention of who you actually are? Are you forcing yourself to be something you're not? for example an "excited person". I don't mean to be a downer because this video genuinely seemed to help a lot of people, but these are my personal questions that came up as I was watching it and they are questions I struggle with answering. Maybe you guys can help me.
