Transmission removal, replacement, and installation. Learn how to remove a transmission so you can replace your clutch or flywheel, or so you can rebuild your transmission and install a new one in your car or truck.

In this video I show you the 10 simple steps on how to replace a transmission. I am doing this on a rear wheel drive 98 Mustang but the process is very similar on other rear wheel drive, front wheel drive, and even automatic cars and trucks. 3.) The exhaust on the car is the performance exhaust, just used on the track.
4.) The speedometer is fine... it spun all the way around at the last drift event and I havent had a chance to take the gauge cluster out and push it back to the other side of the peg.

I have a 1992 chevy c1500 350 5.7 2wd the auto transmission just went out is it better to just get a rebuilt transmisson or a used one?
you clearly do not live in Ohio else all those bolts would be rusted and 10x more difficult to deal with.

Hey Chris, I have a question. I have an '02 GT so hypothetically my swap should be the same. With that said, what size 12 point wrench did you use to take the driveshaft bolts out? 12mm? About to do this same exact job and want to make sure I have all the tools.

Surprised since it's your drift car, you didn't put a performance Tremec instead of just a rebuilt T5. Good vid Chris.

Hey Chris, I'm having an issue getting my transmission back on my 2004 mustang GT because of my long tube headers getting in the way, mostly the passenger side because the spot where the starter sticks out hits the headers, not all the bolts are accessible to get the headers off. I'm stuck
