James, that tenant was NOT a "gentleman." Please correctly identify perps like this in the future as "person," "guy," or "nutcase" if you really want to be descriptive. But certainly not a "gentleman."

I own rental properties in the same area as HW, and have actually done business with HW, as for their accountability for maintenece issues I have no clue, but I can say this, they are very well organized and deal with a great number of properties, I only have 14 units and am constantly overwhelmed by the degree of arrogance and self entitlement I have to deal with with the rental community, draw your own conclusions, if you live in an area where housing is so affordable that anyone with half a job can afford a 400.00 mortgage and yet you still choose to pay 650 to 800 for renting, you either are a primadona or just plain lazy and irresponsible, and hence, I thank you for allowing me to make a living at working for you, I crack up inside when tennants laugh at me while I clean up after their animaliostic dirty lifestyles, so when you say jump, dont hold your breath to hear HOW HIGH! I get calls even when there is a city electric power outage. thats arrogance taken to the next level. If your an investor and actually believe what these tennants say, I would strongly be looking for another line of work.

Hello I have a complaint about Hollton Wise. I have been a "good" tenant for 15 months, but I have a lot of maintenance issues that your company continues to give me the "run around" about. Even today last night I had no heat, and the electricity went out in 1/2 of my apartment. For 15 months I have always paid my rent on time, and done my best to cooperate. I have no vents that work, the doorbell does not work,my mailbox (keyed) will not close. the property building and grounds are horrible. The guard rails are splintered, the roof awning is dry rotted and falling in. You still will not and have not given me a key to the a storage unit. My sink in the kitchen needs to be fixed, the cabinets to not close, the floor in my bedroom is uneven, the window in my kitchen is broken. The hallways leading to my apartment have not been cleaned since I moved in, (over a year ago) as a matter of fact all of these issues I have been asking for help with since I moved in. And your only resolve is to "call maintenance" when I go down to the office, they tell me to call maintenance, I do, and I have been at least once a month, or every two at the latest. I have some health issues, and now because of YOUR negligence they are worse. My fridge went out last week and they said someone would get back with me (which they have not) but in the meantime, my insulin and everything went bad in my fridge. I tried putting everything on ice in coolers, but because the broiler heat was 100 in my apt that did not work. I am disabled and have had 2 surgeries in the last 8 months that prevent me from going out a lot or needing assistance that I am trying to recover from. When I do see a worker onsite..they tell me to call maintenance. I keep calling maintenance and keep going to the office and no one will help me. I am not that "tenant from hell" I am the the heaven sent one and am doing my best to live in this embarrassing unsafe and almost deplorable situation at no fault of my own. and your only resolve is "you have to wait to get approval" and no one calls me back or comes to the apartment. I have even been told someone would come and do a "walk through" but that has yet to happen either. I really just want to live in a safe clean and reasonable environment and at least get what I "pay for". At this rate I believe you should be paying me not to start trying to file a law suit of some sort for not "honoring your end of the "lease agreement".. That is in no form or fashion a threat, but after 15 months...I don't know what else to do, since you will not respond other than telling me to "call maintenance"
