Robert H. Lustig, MD, UCSF Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Endocrinology, explores the damage caused by sugary foods. He argues that fructose (too much) and fiber (not enough) appear to be cornerstones of the obesity epidemic through their effects on insulin. Series: UCSF Mini Medical School for the Public [7/2009] [Health and Medicine] [Show ID: 16717]

I hope this man points out the JESUITS (catholic church) as the real criminals behind this and all other evils that effect everyday human beings !!!!!!!

THE JESUITS OWN THE COMPANY MONSANTO, THAT OWNS AND CONTROLS THE WORLDS FOOD SUPPLY !!!!

What this man is telling you can be found in THE BIBLE : )

Dr. Otto Warburg ( yes the Warburg banking family connected to the Rothschild's and Schiff's through marriage) found the cause and cure for CANCER back in 1931 and won a Noble Prize for his work ( he was also nominated over 37 more times)..... He proved that ALL CANCER .... ALL CANCER is caused by (1) Too much sugar in our cells and (2) There is a lack of OXYGEN in those same cells !!!! That's it ....

He showed that with too much sugar and a lack of oxygen the cell could not burn off the sugar, which led to fermentation of the cells ( CANCER) they would become rotten ....... He said people have to stop eating sugar and get more oxygen.... We can boost our oxygen with Oxygenated Water and or exercise ... wow imagine that : )

Also it is harmful if the ph level in our blood is too acidic... It should measure between 7.35 and 7.45.... Now as you can tell i'm not an educated man, so please go do your own research and stop giving POISONS to your loved ones to treat cancer ... PLEASE... God loves everyone of us and does not want us to put poison into our bodies .

Everywhere in the world were sugar had been supplied (cities) - it had an effect, in form of juvenile delinquency. It generated dynamics that turned into alcoholism, Crime and all kinds of anomalies like out of wedlock kids teen pregnancies, divorce and rape. As it also infiltrated the Military, the performance went down. A low sugar society like America's during ww1, had failure rates of soldiers (recruits/send home - not fit for service) up to 30%. The more sugar was consumed and the more processed foods were produced and distributed (advertised on television and radio) the higher the failure rate of soldier recruits became.
The U.S. Army as the reflection of a total sugar society (processed foods) as America is one in 2019, has a failure rate (unfit for service) of 75%. 75% of recruits fail physical, academic, by health (bad eye site-bad hearing-flat feet-not straight spine-gum infection-dental issues). In Vietnam STD 's were a big problem. Bad leadership in sugar addicted societies is a common thing. And the biggest problem of all: Coronary Heart Disease. Even kids have it - in middle class areas or poor neighborhood's. It creates low life expectancy rates. It affects the brain. Folks who were send to mental institutions at all times consumed processed foods and sugar products (coca cola, chocolate, candy, ice cream, marshmallows, cake, cookies). Sugar is a vitamin killer. It destroys Vitamin B. It destroys minerals, trace elements and creates infections. It leads often to alcohol consumption (moderate alcohol consumption, or alcoholism). It leads to eye, gum, ear infections. It literally produces arthritis and its follow up called: osteoporosis (malnourishment of the bones). The individuals liver is damaged by sugar. All folks who are hooked on processed foods and sugar will take pharmaceutical drugs: off and on, or on a regular basis. The damage is often severe, without the individual noticing it. Jaundice, hepatitis A,B,C, are the results of processed foods like sugar , white rice, white pasta, white breat, canned foods (80 to 90 percent of canned vegetables, 100 percent of canned fruits, all Major brands of soups (like Campbell) have sugar in them). Most of frozen foods have sugar in them. Salad dressing has sugar as an ingredient. Turkey breast slices, salami slices and all others of major brands are full of sugar. All Cereals of major brands have sugar in them. Even the ones sold in health food stores. All major brands of Energy drinks have sugar/high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient. Most of the energy bars have sugar in them (in form of cane sugar, rice syrup, agave, honey (they use the highly processed honey which is actually sugar). Burger King puts sugar in its hamburger buns/bread. French fries have sugar in them. Ice Tea is a sugar drink like Pepsi is one. Sugar is even partially in cigarettes. Sugar is in 95% of sausages. Health food Cookies have sugar, cane sugar in them. Health Food Cereals have sugar or cane sugar in them, nearly all of them 95%.
The regulatory agency that controls this sugar/processed food sickness is the F.D.A & U.S.D.A. (Food and Drug Administration & United States Department of Agriculture). This is by design as they produce laws that literally regulates our sugar addictions as they by law produce them. If law is a factor, the power of laws are to be installed into us by education and media Thus, we have a belief system like by religious folks in existence. But there is no spirit. As spirit can't exist by the individual having an addiction. An addiction destroys the individuals spirit by having specially children being spiritual destroyed (dream phases are not balanced, kid experiencing restlessness and anti social behavior). If laws can make food addicts, we see by the Rockefeller laws, making criminals out of addicts.

Dr. Robert H. Lustig, thank you so much for your video. I'm watching it in 2019 from the UK. Because the food industry is so powerful, it makes it difficult to introduce legislation to improve our diet by reducing sugar in our food. Of course you know all this already. Hope lots of people get to see your video so they can improve their food choices despite the lack of suitable legislation.
Your video taught me so much, many thanks.

Although I do appreciate all of the info here, the problem I have with this is that all of the problems are identified but there are no solutions or alternatives. How should sugar be replaced in our diets if most everything has some form of sugar in it? Low/no fat foods are no good? sugar free foods not good? Do I have to move to the Arctic and live off of walrus blubber or maybe to the Amazon and live off of nuts and berries and monkeys? Move to Asia and eat nothing but white rice? And no, all organic vegetable diet is completely out of the question.

So basically eat your meats and nuts and such and do your best to stay away from sodas, fruit juices from the store, and JUNK FOOD... I heard nothing about sugar being evil just in moderation... I wish most people could afford to eat this way but sadly the healthier the food the more expensive it is... This is the healthiest way to eat but until the cost of whole foods gets cheaper for the everyday person this will keep being a problem =(
