Wrong, Noah was a king of Subartu flooded in 3700 BC and sent to Dalma AKA Bahrain. Also Arc was made of bronze and already put in a burial there. King Gilgamesh was king of Babylon at the time. Gilgamesh fought with Enmebaragesi King of Kish near Dalma for Dalma was capital of Kish at the time. The Urartu is indeed modern-day Armenia. they are all sons of a city called Armani. found in 2600-2900BC Sumer/Akkad documents

the fact that the flood did exist is confirmed by Jesus who saw it happen. he said in matthew that just like in noahs day so it will be in the end times. the apostle paul in hebrews chapter 11 further confirms noahs day occurred. even though i have respect for dr niemans vast knowledge he also needs to consider archaeology and biblical teaching a bit more serious

This was disappointing. For the first time I see he is actually rude and seems arrogant. Possibly Dr. David Neiman has more of a big ego than any actual evidence to make his case, because he expects that we will just take his opinion as fact - as if he was there. In my Torah it clearly states (in Genesis 6:9 thru 8:14) that Noah was a real man, righteous and blameless in his day and age, had three sons who are all named, built an ark by God's direction, and that the flood covered the entire earth - even the mountain tops. David Neiman is once again challenging the validity of the Jewish Scriptures, and substituting valid ancient history accounts with the foolishness of human conjecture. However, that does explain how he managed to get hired by the Catholic Church to be one of their teachers.

I think there have been many flood myths and Noah existed...he is portrayed by Russell Crowe in Noah [ I am trolling a bit ...passes time A BIT until the next person goes postal with a gun in the US]

It's too bad Dr. Neiman didn't say "in my opinion i don't believe Noah actually existed". No one is omniscient. No one can say for sure whether the stories in the Bible are true. It's possible they were true.

The is an outtake from a video currently being edited on the history of the Crusades. This clip was recorded before the lecture began in a course entitled “The Church and The Jews”. Dr. David Neiman is answering a question about the antagonistic relationship between the Protestant Bob Jones University and the Catholic Church.

Dr. David Neiman (1921-2004) was an internationally renowned scholar, speaker, and writer who inspired many people. His life's work concerned the intricate relations between Christianity, Islam, and Judaism throughout history and in modern times. Dr. Neiman made history come alive through his dramatic presentations and unique interpretations. In light of our current world situation, Dr. Neiman's work is not only extremely relevant but also remarkably prescient. More than anything, Dr. Neiman was a keen observer of the human condition. His words convey our shared history with clarity, humor, and humanity.

Dr. Neiman was the first Jewish scholar appointed to teach Religion at Boston College, one of America's leading Catholic Universities. He served as Professor in the Department of Theology for a quarter of a century. While there he was also invited to teach at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. After retiring from Boston College, Dr.Neiman moved to Los Angeles, where he taught at Loyola Marymount University, St. John' s Seminary in Camarillo and the University of Judaism in Bel Air.
